Bottoms up

I rather like this one (once again, after photoshop). And I realize that I forgot the apostrophe in "it's", so you don't have to post a comment telling me that. Posted by Picasa

Camera Fixed!

I got my camera back yesterday, and here is one of my new pics (after some time in Photoshop of course). Posted by Picasa

Lab

Whoever designed my schedule must have wanted me to fail lab, for he placed a lab class with Mr. Berquest, who has the most soothing/monotone voice I have heard, at 2:00 in the afternoon in a room which faces the afternoon sun (thus warming the room) and which has Mr. Shield's lab class filling it with hot, stale air. Then adding to this, Mr. Berquest is explaining something very critical to understanding Newton along with a large sleep debit which I have yet to pay off to my body, and you get the following equation:

[(Sleep conducive surroundings + Mr. Berquest's voice)/(Importance of material)](Sleep deprivation level)=Cramming at finals

And now I have to go read an article of St. Thomas on Lying for All-School Seminar. (Yaaaaaaaaaawn).

Re: my camera.... New pictures will be posted as they are taken. Be sure to check the blog.

Phriday

Somethingawful, a site which can't be accused of false advertising, is no longer blocked by the TAC webfilter, making its treasure trove of Photoshop fun avaliable to one and all. If you don't find the following phrase funny (the following phrase: "When Frithweaver dies he is going to Jerk Heaven."), don't visit (click "visit" to visit). But, do enjoy the picture from a past week's Photoshop Phriday. The Richard Scary takeoff is quite funny.

And on a plus note, my camera will be delivered back to me TODAY. Canon's turnaround time is amazing. The quality of their repair department has yet to be seen.

It's DA POPE!

So the Pope has put out his first encyclical Deus caritas est. I am printing it out right now, so I can't give any thoughts on it or say anything witty or critical. I often find myself unable to do either of these self-appointed tasks which others expect are mere second nature to me. I am interested in what Benedict has to say, especially since there apparently is a bit about the roles of church and state (hint hint: potential area for dispute). Although, I will criticise the new Vatican copyrights. The Vatican had to move against "pirated editions." Yes, becasue there are tons of youth downloading handicam versions of encyclicals off of BitTorrent.

That criticism wasn't up to snuff. To make up for it, I will now give you two funny things:
1) A picture in The Onion of Jessie Jackson standing in front of a group of angry snowmen.
2)A story about Michael Jackson going shopping...dressed as an Arab woman.

Blame! (not the manga)

Last night was one of the worst seminars I have had in a long time ("long time" being defined as "at least three months"). The reading was Locke and the conversation was scattered. One might say that the soup d'jour ("soup d'jour" being defined as "soup of the day" or "common expression for a recurring theme or event") was interruption while the special "catch of the day" ("special catch of the day being defined as "something out of your pricerange") was a tendency not to listen to other people.

I probably share some blame for the seminar, but on the otherhand, don't we all share some blame for something? And if we don't share some blame, is this becasue we never listened to what our mothers told us about sharing when we were children. Lest my mother's words have been said in vain, I give you a share of the blame.

It was your fault. You're guilty, you did it, you, you, you.

Hey, stop hogging the blame! I need to blame some other people later. Stop being so self-centered.

New links

I added two new links (one to Little Lost Soldier Girl and one to Caged Bird's Shadow), and removed two links (Maurice Chavez and Vince's Awful Blog) because there have been no updates on either one since at least September 11th. Vince seems to have no desire to post and I have no desire to keep up two separate blogs.

Jump around, jump around, jump up, jump up, and get down...

While Stumbling about the web using StumbleUpon, I found this site: World Jump Day. Apparently, by everybody jumping at the same exact time, we can alter the world's orbit and end global warming and pollution and Friends re-runs. I signed up for the reminder e-mail, that way I can remember not to jump at all on World Jump Day. If they really will be able to get a large enough number of people to do this and it does have an effect, I don't think the hippie feel-good predictions of World Jump Day curing all of our ailments sound very sound.

In honor of Mochow...

So the Steelers are going to the big game. Congrats. Also, that story you told me about "STARS", well here's a little tribute to you from Penny Arcade.

Um, it's not what it looks like

This was Dave's idea. Phil had no idea what was going on until afterwards.

Ah, those wonderful ten minutes between the end of music class and the beginning of lab class on Fridays.

New camera

I know I haven't posted much recently due to my brand new Digital Rebel XT (it's a camera). Here are some of the fruits of my labors...
