Hot pixels

For all of you who remember the "Oh no! there's dirt on the focus screen" ordeal, here is something more serious. Hot/stuck pixels. They are circled in red. This is BAD! They were not here before. I may have to send the camera in again. I hope this can be repaired both easily and quickly. Hey, if it means I need a new CMOS sensor, and it's covered by the warrenty, then I guess I'm fine with it. Posted by Picasa

I'm not seeing them through the circles. Do they appear in the dust test i.e. bright white shot? I've noticed a couple on mine, but only on night shots when there's no color obscuring the hot pixels. But hey, there are fewer than on my compact, and for 8x10^6 pixels, have fewer than 8 seems pretty good to me. Unless, of course, they're really really obvious.

Well, they're rather hard to see when the picture is resized. I haven't seen them on the dust test. The canon people recommended sending it in to them. So, c'est la vie.
